The politician gravy train continues to speed along

A typical employee would have to work for 62 years to earn the pension an MP receives after only 13 years, research reveals today.

Yet another reason why big government is like putting the pigs in charge of the food store.

The mass media's coverage of the 2008 US election race

To paraphrase a comment I read online earlier, this is the choice that the mass media are presenting to the people:

"I'm voting for Obama because I want change...but I have no idea what exactly that change is. I just like the word!"

Or

"It's time for a woman to be president."

Wow, what a great, intelligent way to pick the leader of the most powerful nation on Earth.

Ron Paul: A revolutionary needed by the whole world, not just America

I urge you to watch this question-and-answer video with Ron Paul filmed at Google. I particularly urge you to watch it if you are American.

This man is a true revolutionary. He wants to actually get rid of income tax! Can you imagine what this man would do to feminism and interfering socialist/politically correct laws? He'd blow the whole thing out of the water! As I watch him speak, I'm shocked to hear a politician say things that actually make coherent sense, are moral, and sound like they are coming from his genuine beliefs, rather than the usual habit of politicians to say whatever they think will get them power. I wish we had someone like him running for Prime Minister over here!

Global power grab

I think its pretty obvious that we are heading into a period in history in which those at the tops of the hierarchies of power in governments and multi-nationals are itching to consolidate their power on a global scale. In other words, they wish to move us towards global governance. You can see this as a conspiracy theory, or you can just see this as a tendency towards something the power elites through history have always thirsted for: empire. Only this time its more serious than ever as their sights are literally on the whole globe, and, theoretically at least, they could employ some pretty nasty technologies to this end.

Theres a lot that could be said about this (particularly how those in power love things like feminism and political correctness as they weaken the family and opposition from ordinary men). However, today I just want to flag up a particular ploy they are using, so y'all can be more aware of it, and not be taken in by it.

Basically, they will increasingly make the following argument:

The global problem of climate change requires global solutions.

And by this, they mean an ever increasing tax burden and consolidation of power into their hands.

Clinton = 1984?

I don't live in America, I live in the UK, but I've been taking a passing interest in the build-up to the 2008 elections. I think either Ron Paul or John McCain would make a good president. I recently noticed this hilarious Hilary Clinton video on YouTube (produced by the supporters of her rival, Barack Obama) which is a re-editing of the famous 1984 Apple ad (inspired by George Orwell's 1984, and perhaps a little by George Lucas' THX1138):

Good news! Conservatives to oppose EU treaty

David Cameron has given his clearest commitment yet to tearing up the revised EU Constitution if he wins power, even if it has been signed.

Sorry if you aren't in the UK and you think this is of no interest. But it is very important. The EU is basically a project to create an undemocratic communist super-state out of the nations of Europe. It must be exposed and disposed of.

Already, most of the new laws in the UK come from the EU, created by politicians who we cannot even vote in or out. If this is not anti-democratic, then I don't know what is.

If you happen to be interested in this (and every man in the UK, at least, should be), then here is a video which exposes some of the very sinister strategies of those who want to create a communist Europe: Exposing the 'common purpose' organisation.

Darling, isn't it time to resign?

Two computer discs holding the personal details of all families in the UK with a child under 16 have gone missing.

Chancellor Alistair Darling said there was no evidence the data had gone to criminals - but urged people to monitor bank accounts "for unusual activity".

I'm starting to wonder if there is ANYTHING the government in this country can't get away with. Utterly unbelievable.

Incidentally, Alistair Darling is not to be confused with the Eagle from 'The Muppet Show' (although the muppets would probably do a better job of running the country).

How the marxists took over the UK labour party

In classic terms, of increased state power, higher taxes and a bigger welfare state, with legions of people employed by the public sector, Labour is our most left-wing government since 1945-51. In terms of constitutional revolution, it is the most radical since Cromwell. Culturally and socially, it has hugely outdone Harold Wilson and Roy Jenkins in turning the 'permissive society' into the politically correct society. In foreign policy, it has made us more subservient to continental powers than any ruler since Charles II sold the country to Louis XIV at the secret Treaty of Dover. There is also a strong case, which I won't elaborate just here, for making out that the Iraq war is not 'right wing', but originated in radical leftist ideas about reforming the world, combined with a leftist contempt for national sovereignty.
